Quilter’s Travel Case Review

Quilting travel case from Prym

The Prym Quilter’s Travel Case is a very sturdy case designed like a briefcase for travelling with your quilting tools, pattern and blocks. It measures 13.5” x 14” x 2.5” and would be great for taking on holiday or to classes. It would also make a super gift for a quilter.

Travel case for quilter's

The case is very smart in black material and feels strong and sturdy as it has a reinforced frame so any projects you transport in it won’t get crushed in transit. It has a strong zip that seals the case all round too, keeping your tools dry and clean.

It comes complete with carrying handles and a shoulder strap that can be attached for transporting it. There is a label space on the back for you to add your personal details in case the travel case gets lost.

The case is designed to be used as a working surface on your lap whilst you are on the move. Making it ideal to use on journeys as well as on holiday, at classes or sewing groups.

Quilting supply pockets

One side of the case has three open and three closed clear bag pockets, along with five elastic loops for storing reels of cotton or yarn etc.

Quilting on holiday

There is a pretty detachable pincushion attached with Velcro that keeps all your pins tidy. There is also a piece of felt to be used to store your sewing needles inside the case.

Storing quilting supplies on the go

The case contains a covered cardboard insert with a mesh pocket that is designed for carrying your books and patterns and keeping them flat in transit.

Transporting quilting rulers

The opposite side of the case from the pockets has elasticated straps with a clip closure that you can use to store your unfinished blocks or rulers up to 12.5” square. This will also hold the mesh pocket with your patterns.

The Prym Quilter’s Travel case is a great way to carry all your quilting tools and blocks in progress, and I will be using it to take to my quilt group. You could also use it to take projects with you on holiday.

It would be great combined with the Prym Patch Bag for storing and transporting your larger mats and rulers – see our review of the Patch Bag here.

You can buy the case from The Cotton Patch.
